Okay List, Finally decided to open my mouth on this one! In the field, I clean old glue (possible previous regluing) off wood and underside of ivory, carefully, with a single edged razor blade. Paint _wood_ with "White Out" or similarly fast drying _opaque_ white pigment. Cover fingers that will be used as clamps with masking tape ;-). Spread thin layer of gap filling CA on key (the razor blade is handy for this). Place ivory on key and clamp with fingers. In the shop, I substitute PVC-E for CA. Do clamp well as the ivory _will_ warp as it absorbs the moisture from the PVC-E. I use 1 X 2 inch (or longer for tails) pieces of laminate flooring and two spring clamps. Also, it will probably be necessary to "shim" the original ivory if the old glue wafer is missing or removed so that you will have a perfectly flat joint at the notch.
