a hammer question

Hi Vinny,
Thank you for the helpful information.  Sorry it took me so long to write 
back.  I just got in.  I had lunch with a friend earlier. I'm tuning his 
Hennry Miller spinit tomorrow.  I then went to our only music store and 
found two old pianos in the back outside ready for the trash heap. I took 
the actions out and now I have three actions.  I'm hoping to learn repairs 
etc with them.  I've never seen a hammer rail that looked like metal. I also 
haven't seen a plate that was green instead of the usual brass color.
