After I sent that message, I saw another reply saying that drugstore =
alcohol
is okay.  To clarify, I=92d like to point out that for cleaning a tip, =
70%
isopropyl would be fine, IF there were no nicks, scratches, etc.  You =
could
just run it under the sink, if that were the case.  But any =
imperfections
that see water are not going to be happy.  Just as a general matter, =
though,
I don=92t think 70% isopropyl has any place in the piano tech=92s kit.  =
Does
anyone use it?  For what purpose?  I=92m just a po=92 chemist who=92s =
new to this
business!!!
