Hello Terry, Have you ever designed ribs so that the layers are positioned perpendicularly to the plane of the panel, as opposed to parallel, as on the picture you attached (thanx)? Has anyone here made such ribs and then crown shaped them? How do such ribs hold up over time? I am getting ready to replace ribs on a 1896 6'1" Bluthner with a collapsed panel and this discussion is very interesting. Peace Jean-Jacques Granas Warsaw
