I'm anxious to go to the convention and check out what they have . My hearing is great, but an ETD would be great for noisey situations like a nursing home, but I need one I can read as well as watch the little light go around. My son would love that.;) I looked at pocket PC today at radio shack while doing some errands, tool case hunting, and found that theres no way on earth or anywhere else, the greyhound station in Chicago, that I'll be able to read that thing. Unless something improves, I might have to rely on my good eears. The lap top idea might work, but using the city bus system doesn' t make me comfy with that idea ,hauling a lap top around, not to mention the cold temps, thinking next winter if I have one.;)

That's the ONE thing I don't like about the SAT. The "spinner" is easily visible. But the numbers are not in a low light situation! And I need to see that because too often, it goes the wrong way & unless I'm aware of that (or check it aurally), it can really screw you up. I really wish they'd make that display MUCH more visible! I do a lot of concert work in a low light situation!

Marshall,

How visually impaired are you? If you can see the red spinner fairly well, the Accutuner might be the way to go...but there are numbers involved in setting it up. Their size is about like 8.4 8.7 9.3

I know I'm not going out and buying and ETD right away, but I was wondering what size font the print is. ie. 10 12 etc. Since I use the city bus system, the smaller ones woule be a better match for me ,but depending on the print. I can see the red light on the spinner pretty well. Are they pretty much the same in price, tune lab, verituner etc. I know the Acutuner III is in the neighborhood of 1700$
