Make sure that the top action bracket is firmly seated at the foot. It seems weird that the hammerline would be ok if the action weren't seated, but nonetheless, it's where I'd start - if for no other reason than to make sure that the 'foundation' is in order. Secondly, as others have mentioned, (and perhaps this should actually be first) I'd look at the letoff rail as well, and make sure it's where it is supposed to be. Jonathan Finger RPT
