Baldwin pedals, dumb question

As sure as I can be. I pulled everything apart except the pedal 
rod/pedal and checked travel and wear. I can feel the noise vibrating 
in the back of the pedal itself.  That still doesn't mean Im right. 
I'll have another shot at it next week.

That makes sense, I just need a special tiny pin punch to remove it? 
Is that perverse or what? I'll let you know if I solve it.
