Baldwin Grand O Ring

And what is the thickness (cross section) of the O ring??  I can't believe
this size is unique to Baldwin.  Standard hardware stores more than likely
have them in stock.  Thanks for the diameter.

I think you're looking for the 2 1/4" O-ring used with dowel-type pitman.
If so, it's Baldwin's part no. 0237-121041.  Good luck!
