Hammer Strike Angle

Yes, supposedly for the whip of the shank to flex and the hammer strike
perpendicularly. Evidently, most player don't use that much force; so I
bore hammers to understrike just a bit so that they will wear in to
perpendicular and not spend their life going further and further away
from ideal. Same for grands.

Recently did a 40" S&S console, had to shorten the shanks to maintain
strike point. the original hammers had a definite overstriking wear pattern,
flat and highly angled.
