Upright Hammer Shanks

I completely disagree. The old shanks are brittle/inflexible. Hence repetition will suffer. It's an easy job to replace Upright Hammer shanks, IMO. After a few so-so jobs that I didn't replace the shanks, I have made it SOP.<G> No regrets since.<G>
