Another very good reason to find a hide glue substitute....

I met with Howard Lyman, the "Mad Cowboy", last night.
He gave an excellent talk at the University on prion
diseases, AKA "Mad Cow Disease", "Creutzfield-Jacob",
"Scrapie", etc.
He cited Yale studies showing that about 18% of
"Alzheimer's" in the U.S. is actually "Mad Cow" in
humans, which is transferable from any species to any
species via various types of contact, citing an
Englishwoman, a lifelong vegetarian, who even died of
it after sprinkling her roses with bone-meal dust and
getting the powder in her eyes! Films of humans dying
of "Mad Cow" were shown. Very shocking.
"Hide Glue" is made of similar slaughterhouse
leavings. Dumping it into a jar kicks up dust, which
could infect you. The U.S. government, initially
banning feeding animal remnants back to "livestock"
after Mad Cow was discovered here, has, apparently,
backed off due to pressure from the cattle industry.
Research "Mad Cowboy" or "Howard Lyman" for more
info.
Does anyone know of a good substitute for hide
glue: dries hard, can be softened with heat/moisture
later to disassemble parts, and can be cleaned off
from old joints witout too much grief, for new gluing
?
     Thump
