Hi there Östen

Nice to see your name pop up on pianotech again. Yes this is the same
book. I was privileged enough to have the manuscript for saturday /
sunday for what review time allowed for. It is in rather good english
already and really only needs what I would call rather superficial
editing. So one can hope after 2 years the editing process is fairly
well in progress at this point.

It is chock full of piano related physics/acoustics and there is quite a
bit of material related to pianists (and listeners) perceptions of the
instrument. Insights abound into many aspects of piano physics and
phenonema that to my knowledge are not in publish at all, or very
difficult to hunt down. It goes into some depths the 5 lectures scope
did not allow for on some subject matter, and deals with many other
subject matter not addressed in the 5 lectures.

The book definantly should be published in English. In fact, my own
assessment is that even it its draft form it is very readable indeed.
Perhaps we could contrive to get a peice or two from the book published
in the PTG ? I'm sure Bob Hohf would be interested. What say you ?

Cheers
RicB

Hello Richard,

Is this the same book that he presented as "Oncoming book" at the
convention?

Not until now have I had the time to read through that small
leaflet he distributed. It seems to me that the book, as it is
outlined in the leaflet, would be very valuable as an overview
and introduction to piano acoustics, taking things a bit further
than in "5 lectures".

Personally also I would be happy if Mr Galembo could be published
in English.
