Conrad - was that "blooming" as was discussed a little while back on the
List? Someone had the  b r i l l i a n t idea of using that old hot glue gun
to stick those loose hammer felts back again. (though I've yet to try it!)

That's how many:

a. they thought was necessary to prevent blooming

b. they wanted a sales talking point

c. they wanted to save money by not putting staples all the way up

d. one or more of the above
