It is not just our "cousins" who are contributing to the List, for contributions are pouring in from all over the world. Everybody is exchanging views, ideas, techniques and new tool availability and old tool methods - just as one would expect from such a list. I am glad the PTA is alive and kicking but in all the years I have been in the profession there has been no incentive for me to participate in their "doings". There used to be a show up in the Kingsway Hall where piano manufacturers would show their wares and people like F&N and Heckschers would have a stand. I used to enjoy that! Now, of course, we have no manufacturers in this country - or does one consider "Pinkhams" a manufacturer? Since the closure of HerrburgerBrooks it has all been down hill in the UK so I find chatting to the guys on the List quite interesting and invigorating. If you were to turn your attention closer to home you will discover that there is a lot going on within the Association, plenty of activities both pianistic and social and we even have our own List. Which is probably where everyone else is, that is to say, they are not participating in Pianotech because they have their own! I just came here to have a look at what our US cousins are talking about. Nigel Hello Nigel Good to hear from someone in that group! You're the first. I wondered when the PTA (Parent Teacher Association?) would wake up! You are not the only tuner in jolly olde UK you know, come and join us at our next Convention in May, Bournemouth. Nigel (also UK) Hello Dale and List When, when, when. is there going to be such an exhibition in jolly olde UK? I must confess I feel very much off-centre here and my only life-line is from the List with splendid useful comments and tips from Australia, USA, Norway and Germany. .and others too many to name! :-) and :-( End of gripe Michael G.(UK) ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
