Whitening ivory keys

I used  murphy's oil soap,  it didn't whiten them but really did clean them. 
I have heard if you are careful lemon juice is good for whitening them.  But 
the acid can be damageing, so you really need to be careful.  You water it 
down and wipe it off with dry cloth immediately.  If you have extra ivory 
lying around you could experiment first.  I found this tip of Martha 
Stewart's website.
