I haven't thought of scrutinizing that dimension. I'll check on the next set for finer hair-splitting. As long as the knuckles were squarely pressed in I assumed that radius to be uniform. I think it would be a little hard to accurately measure the notch but a jig could be constructed to determine if the core is square and the bottom (arc) of the knuckle is centered or uniform for that dimension.
