why strings go flat by themselves.

I'm just harassing you but I doubt it. My mother just passed away early 
Sunday morning and she was 93. She'd never smoked a cigarette or had even 
one alcoholic drink! I've obviously had more than my share of both, so I 
doubt I'll last "that" long! :-)
