Well, yeah, I knew all that but didn't get the Jack Case ref ... cute. =
Just
think it's helpful to know what the designer had in mind ...
Anyway, thanks to all for responding.

Hi Allen, the jack can only move so far. So that limits things such as
hammer height, key stroke, key dip.
The case parts and their relation to each other also will give a =
ballpark
figure of what can be done and where these should be for that piano.
Set a few samples and have fun.

At the risk of repeating myself in a redundant over and over again kind =
of
way, I reiterate again, and echo and ditto my previous comments, that is =
to
say once more, to whit: "Huh?"

Taking on a complete reg and voicing job on a late model, Pearl River =
built,
Geo. Steck grand. It's all boogered up with a 2" blow (very little
aftertouch, natch), lousy rep, etc. (How can a piano this new be so bad?
Never mind, I can guess.)
