Wooden I-beams span the case for sturdy support of 'go-bars' or pressure 
applicators.
The board is supported from underneath.

In this photo you'll see the beams clamped to the case while securing 
loosened glue joints.
The 'cross' beam at the bass end is there because the bass leg prevented 
use of a single
clamp to hold down that end of the main beam.

These beams were made from scrap items on hand... 3/4" plywood and 2x6's.
(I ripped the 2x6's in half). 2x4's would work as well.   The plywood was 
glued in
the dado and secured with deck screws.
