Wippen wire wobble wasn't witnessed when wanging, while
Catcher couldn't keep close contact, causing crappy coupling.  

Please see answer posted earlier.

And, BTW, what WOULD you use to reglue a wire in wood? I'd probably go for a
drop of epoxy ...
