Hi Greg,

I am not sure, the rust on old strings does not seem to change. If you =
have 'dressed the strings', they seem to pit and darken rather rapidly =
than expected. I have tried camphor as a rust inhibitor, it may work on =
some metals, but not in piano work. I do not know about all metals, and =
I am sure someone will enlighten me quickly.

  Vinny,
I've also heard that "moth balls" or "camphor tablets" inhibit =
rust. Anyone confirm this?

    Hi EVeryone,
Have any of you tried moth balls inside a piano? Someone said they =
worked well.
