I'm going to seriously suggest you contact the DC people directly on this and just report what THEY say to your customer. You don't want to be on the hook if she's unhappy. The stuff is supposed to kill (reduce?) growies in the water but I dunno. Maybe the Lung Association has literature on humidifier treatments, and so forth. Alan R.
