Hammer Rest Rails

Well, yes. Everybody on this list knows how to do that. So I presume you are
not a piano tech. But if you are doing work that requires removing the rail,
you likely need a lot more information than just rail removal instructions.

I'd recommend calling a qualified tech--you can go to
http://www.ptg.org/rptsearch/index.html to find one.

If you want to do the work, yourself, and learn something about your piano,
that's great, too. I'd recommend the book "Piano Servicing, Tuning &
Rebuilding" by Arthur A. Reblitz as a good starting source.

I really hope this doesn't come across snottily (a word?) but the question
is best answered, I believe, as I have answered it.

I am working on a Hackley (chase) upright (~1923).
I read somewhere that the hammer rest rail could be removed. Anybody know
how that is done?

Thank you in advance
