I'm taking apart a Knabe grand and on this one the plate is slightly underneath the stretcher. The block is not fitted to the stretcher and the stretcher does not seem to want to come out, at least not easily. But it will be in the way of the plate coming out. I've taken apart several Knabe's and not seen this arrangement, what gives? I guess I mean that literally and figuratively. David Love davidlovepianos@comcast.net
