Hi  David
   The only maker I know who makes these Is Ronsen & they do a great Job.=20=
=20
Call Ray Negron.
   I've done this before & was very pleased. If you haven't tried these=20
hammers lately They are great. They are the Hottest thing going lately.

    The current project on the table is a fairly early, non-overstrung=20
Emerson. My question for you square lovers is this: The action parts are=20=
in good=20
shape, worthy of renewal rather than replacement. However, the hammers are=
=20
of the primitive, mostly wood (and not much wood at that) type with, 1/8 to=
=20
3/8=E2=80=9D of felt, and covered by well worn leather. Is there a supplie=
r of good=20
replacement smaller hammers, or am I better off simply renewing the leather=
,=20
or replacing the felt & leather together? Modern hammers with the corners=20
nipped are clearly not the solution. The amount of pressure needed to repl=
icate=20
such a felt configuration seems minimal, but as we do on this list, I=E2=

looking for input from someone who has already tried this a couple of diffe=
rent=20
ways before I start my experimenting. I=E2=80=99m looking for the best ton=
e this=20
beast has to offer. (I warned you not to read this far if the urge to resp=
ond=20
with  flames is rising!)
