I've found them to be very dependably, just what I've specified. Recently, another tech mentioned to me that he had found the Arledge strings to be somewhat dull sounding, at least with the Steinway scales we were discussing. I asked if he was duplicating original scales, and if, perhaps, the original scaling depended on a less clean (noisier) bass string build to produce the desired "character" - meanwhile referring him to the rescaled and very lively set in the B we were standing over. I think I may have jump started some fundamental reevaluation of the relative merits of string build quality and scale design. > Oh & I like personal service, southern hospitableness & a can do attitude.
