I think, Nils.... you will find this to be in error. Schimmel pianos, nor any other piano I know of, has ever used other then woven felt punchings. The advent of pressed felt punchings is new. The <<strange white punchings>> are Andre's baby. Nothing strange about them, and no reason to infer anything but the greatest respect for the fellow who thought of them. Cheers Richard Brekne .................. I ´ve heard that too,- from Mr. Stöckle at Renner in Germany... I was beginning to wonder, - and checked with old friend at the Schimmel factory,- and yes... they had also used Wurzen felt for at least ten years now. And it reminded me of something else: these "strange white punchings"(that I didn´t like much in the beginning) were starting to occure in the Schimmel pianos some ten years ago too. Probably also Wurzen felt. But anyway, its a great felt ..........Much more elacetisity, and much less needeling in most cases. Regards, Nils Henrik Jansen, RPT Bergen/Norway
