Yes, I'd be interested. I need to send you one of those Knabe rocker capstans to see if you have any of them also lying around your "playpen", so I'll send you a few $$$ for copying costs, and postage. What I'm wondering here is this: my shanks have the wooden plats, not the lovely "thumbtacks", which are ( allegedly, and logically ) from the later models. Sooooooooooo, could the brass plaque screwed into the side of the rosewood case claiming this thing is from 1886 be wrong, must it be older than that? Does anyone know when the transition to the wooden plats to the "thumbtacks" was made ???? I do know one thing, though: it was made because it allowed hammer height adjustment, and because the woden plats wear.
