Steve: We have a Mason & Hamlin CC here at SMU purchased new in the early '80s and the serial number is 1795. That would mean that they built 105 CCs in that +/- 10 year span. They were making about 1,000 pianos per year in all the other models. That would make CCs about 1% of their output so I guess that's possible. I never did figure out why they had a totally different serial number series for the CC either. dave David M.
