"CC'

Steve:

We have a Mason & Hamlin CC here at SMU purchased new in the early '80s
and the serial number is 1795. That would mean that they built 105 CCs
in that +/- 10 year span. They were making about 1,000 pianos per year
in all the other models. That would make CCs about 1% of their output
so I guess that's possible.

I never did figure out why they had a totally different serial number
series for the CC either.

Hi Jim,

I was serial number 1690, built in (we think) the 1970's. I am from
Port
Huron, MI - sixty miles north of Detroit. We did a complete rebuilding
-
soundboard, bridges, action (Renner) and all. It is an impressive
piano.
