My Stupid for the day

One of the worst things is a child (usually a girl) who hums the note I am
tuning. Another thing is the wretched vacuum cleaner - the one at
Glyndebourne on stage is about middle D# on A=430. Then there's the
frightful jack hammer outside that insists br.r.r.r.r. away directly I start
tuning. These things, Jack hammer and Vacuum cleaner are banes of my
existence and seem to follow me around sometimes.
