This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment I made the coil, put it on the pin and started bringing it up to pitch before noticing that I hadn't run it under the V bar. Oops. That was in = the early days, no one looking.=20 =20 Then there was the time I decided to try using a hypodermic for CA = instead of "hypo oilers" -- pulled the plunger out and filled the cylinder with = CA ... which ran out the needle of course. Kept most of it off the piano = but my whole hand was glued together (that was a weird sensation) ... took = awhile to get unstuck ... customer was home but out in back or something and = missed all the fun, Thank Heavens. =20 My advice: If you aren't going to obey ALL the laws, DO obey the laws of physics, at least. =20 Alan R. I use a Bushmaster, and warm = brass cauls, with hide glue. Now the stupid part. I was wondering why it was hard to get the cauls = in, I had done about a half dozen. I had forgotten to use the Bushmaster first. :-( It certainly pays to have your full mind on it, at least to start. I have a TV that I watch as I do this job, helping to pass the time. I should have gotten into the rhythm first. Or is it just old age. :-) =20 What are some stupid or forgetful things some of the others have done? =20 Regards, John M.
