That wouldn't have worked on mine, Ron. Glad it did on yours. The corrosion on mine, made areas, 1/4"-1/2" porous. I kept on hoping to find a kitchen canister, or something that would fit. But the ones I tried were all 1/4" too big. I cut the centre out of an old pie plate, and riveted it on to the top of the glue pot, to hold my brass cauls, and keep them warm. I used to just put them on the edge of the pot, but some would always fall in. John M.
