My understanding is that the Boes soundboard is a much thicker panel and
needs to be due to the differences in the rim construction.

Please, I really just don't have much exposure to the Austrian piano. My
understanding is that they make their rims of spruce. How does the
soundboard design compare to the S&S or any other?
