Hello, I've been lurking here for a while and this looks like a good point to jump in. I just joined the PTG and started taking the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology course last month. I have no prior experience with pianos, so I'm learning a great deal from reading the posts here along with my course studies. The best way I've found to search the pianotech archives is by following a tip I received on this list. I use http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en the advanced search page at Google and I specify ptg.org as the site at the bottom right of the top section. Google search seems to return better search results and allows me to specify more precise criteria than the built-in search at the archives site and there aren't any limitations on the number of hits returned.
