Advice on a half tone pitch raise

Vinny: I don't believe you need to do the pitch raise in octaves. After all, 
in the factory when a piano is restring it is brought up to pitch one string 
at a time, with no ill affect. I have done many 1/2 step pitch raises with 
no trouble, aside from the occasional broken string. Accept that you will 
have to tune it three times to get it stabilized, and have at it. Good luck
