Today is my first day of posting; I shouldn't read back a bit before I posted... ;) Cy is right about the newer humidistats. It's the pianos WITHOUT humidistats I worry about!!! I've seen heater bars plugged in, and that's it...no humidifier, no humidistat... Seems to me, that's just not a good idea. -------------------------------------------------------------- With the latest H-4 humidistat, I'm pretty sure this is no longer true. When the water's gone, the Smart Heater Bar shuts off. I think the DC web site confirms this. I reassure customers that it's safe to leave plugged in all the time, no matter what. --Cy Shuster-- Bluefield, WV ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan" <tune4u@earthlink.net> To: "'Pianotech'" <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Friday, January 14, 2005 12:20 AM Subject: RE: even more Dampp-Chaser thoughts >I think there are so many factors.
