I'd rather be tuning

I used to have a wood stove. I got rid of it, too much work. I always ended 
up being too hot, when I used it.
We are having more frequent power failures, last one 4hrs off, 2hrs on and 
then 15hrs off. I was lucky, some close by, were off for days. We only got 
down to 57F, but that was cold enough for me.
So I bought a 7KW generator, by Honda. It supplies power graduated by 
demand. I hooked it up through a transfer switch to 6 circuits I wanted, 
furnace, fridge, freezer, microwave plus one other kitchen plug, lights and 
TV. I keep it in the garage, and plug the house in through a 100' 10X4 
cable.
I gave it a 1/2 hour test, and it works fine.
More and more people seem to be buying generators, we definitely are an 
electricity oriented society.
