Yes, I see now that's what you meant, and I apologize for making fun of what you said.  But you know, with so many of us 40 and 50 and 60 planning to work for several more decades, I don't think the profession will die out any time soon.

Forgive my approximate english (once more).
I meant what was dying was the job, not the techs.
If younger people don't feel interested anymore in the job, then, next generations, the job will go nuts (like stained glass, you know ...).
A contrario, I am amazed and really pleased to see how much vitality still dwells into all of you.  This really gave me a kick.

What do you mean "dying"?  I'm 56, I've been full time since the beginning of this century, and feel like I'm just beginning to really live!
