This event was different from the staus quo convention in that this This
convention hosted a piano fair in conjunction & as part of the Ca state
conference this year. It was a first time event & IMHO very creative and forward
thinking way to increase exposure ,sales & subsequent services for our
somewhat depressed Piano sales/ Piano service industry. Our convention also was
hosted at Cal state University Sac. Another first. I personally was glad to not
be jammed into the usual stuffy hotel ,But that's just my bias.
It was open to music teachers ,educators,students & the general public.
I assure you there were many sales people there representing Many
manufacturers & in our case pianos from custom remanufactory.

I believe the manufacturers staff our convention with their tech
people, not sales people. A showing of pianos for sale would be very
different from our exhibits.
