Best wishes to all for an excellent 2006! There was some discussion at the kitchen table yesterday of perhaps burning an effigy of 2005 -- things are OK now but it was a rather hellish year here. Regarding the recent insurance thread, we've got excellent HMO coverage (yeah I know HMOs have got a bad rap but most of the HMOs in Massachusetts are very well run non-profits) through my wife's employer. No complaints about the "high premiums" anymore -- we "finally got our money's worth", you might say, as one of our children was hospitalized for four months, followed by a severe reaction to an antibiotic leading to another series of visits to ERs, specialists, etc. It's definitely more fun grumbling about insurance costs when everyone in your family is in perfect health.
