  If it's a brand new piano, it should/must be covered by the warranty =
and I'd waste NO time in notifying them of your observations and =
concerns.  Then, proceed stepwise:  (1.) remove more of the gold finish =
to see what's going on underneath, (2.) if it's just the finish, you can =
fix but if it's the plate cracking underneath the finish go straight to =
the factory and get their instructions on how they want to proceed.  =
BTW, those are EXCELLENT photos - what kind of camera do you use?
