Sorry, Everyone, for the OT posts. I should have learned, by now, not to
reply to any emails until I'm sufficiently awake!! I'm going to go make
some strong coffee now, and crawl back into my hole. Cheers.

Thanks, Avery. I'll let you know. I thought your first message was sent
off List when I replied, so now EVERYONE knows I'm auditioning! Oh, well, I
can use as many people as possible in my cheering section. Keep your
fingers crossed!

Hi Jeannie,

I didn't play much after high school. But I played in the Army. (Didn't want
to go to Vietnam.) :-) After basic training, I went through the Navy School
of Music on Bassoon & then played in (at that time) the Fourth Army Band in
San Antonio. But that was only for a couple of years. Then I auditioned for
& spent app. the next 7 yrs. singing in the US Army Field Band
Soldiers' Chorus.

Broadway is what I've done the most. I've sung Curly in "Oklahoma"
about 3 times,
Frank Butler in "Annie Get Your Gun" & a few others plus some plays.
Except for
those few, I've primarily been Music Director and/or pianist for about 20-25
others. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do any of that since
I've been in
Houston because of my schedule.

Oh, well. I'll probably be retiring in 1-2 yrs. if I can. Maybe then.

Best of luck to you. Let me know.

Avery
