Ah, WARPS, The "World Association for Ruined Piano Studies". Formed in 1991 by Stephen Scott (of Bowed Piano celebrity, and professor of music at Colorado Collage) and Ross Bolleter. Ya gotta love 'em. For more information visit: http://www.warpsmusic.com/ A WARP, (wrecked and ruined piano), is not a piano that has been intentionally ruined, it is a piano that has been found in a state of ruin. Usually in barns, fields, backyards or abandoned in some very strange places. The ruin has to come naturally through neglect over time. And each ruined piano will have it's own unique personality. The artists then compose (create?) music for that particular instrument in it's found state. In other words, what you see is what you get. Some very interesting music coming out of these people.
