Try massaging the string down at the termination point or moving the
string back and forth a few times with a screwdriver to improve seating,
or look for a kink in the string.

Subject: False Beat problem

Hello List,
I tuned a Samick studio upright noticed a
false beat on note no 33 ie F33, one of the wire was
having beats within itself .
Checked on the bridge pins they were strong
enough in the bridge .
Is there any other reason for this to
happen & how can I rectify this ?

                           With regards
                                           Ajay.
