Palettes

Hi list and Jon Page.
On Mar 22, the list was discussing the Weber Action Brackets and Jon =
Page said  "the Let Off dowels may be dangling
of the posts or close to it, if it was 'adjusted' before.
Bring some thin cardboard shimming stock to lower the L/O palettes.
Hopefully there's palettes and the posts aren't screwed directly into =
the hammer rail".
Question:  What are palettes?.  I've looked through "Piano Parts and =
Their Functions by Merle Mason and James Campbell
and cannot find palettes.
