I like pushing up, as opposed to tapping, just for the control.Then again, 
I've been accused of being a gorilla. (untrue, BTW, but...)  PianoTek makes 
a real nifty lever, with a roller, that allows pretty good control and lots 
of heft for pushing up from the keybed.
