The one I'm referring to projects a perfectly straight line (not a "dot") 
for up to 50'.

might note that you get a laser dot, its hard on the eyes and you have to 
center whatever you're working on in the dot.  Say 3/16&quot; diameter.  
This might not be the accuracy you're looking for on the keyboard.
