Hey Ric,

I think we began to rebuild the same piano. The whippens are also =
stamped with a 1879 date, but I wonder if this date has something to do =
with a certain patent that Steinway developped at that time..
Do you recognize the parts I have pictured? do they look the same as =
your parts do?
Our "A" is a NY "A" and the serial might be around 130000, as I =
remember. I do not have the exact number recorded in my computer.
