Hi Andrew,

I was wondering about that too. Perhaps it's meant to mimick the tuned =
port of a bass reflex speaker enclosure (i.e. a sales gimmick)?? Of =
course it wouldn't have any of the acoustic properties of such an =
enclosure, unless the lid is closed -- and then only doubtfully, with =
proper dimensioning of the enclosure. So *perhaps* the intent is to =
extend the bass response of this micro-soundboard just a tad when the =
lid is closed... maybe???

Peace,
Sarah

If you read carefully this is not for installation but to show some =
components of a piano. Not a bad idea actually.

What I was wondering about is the large hole in the soundboard. Is =
Young Chang making pianos like this or was this something else. I have =
know about floating a bass bridge but this is a little different. Any =
ideas?

  The ebay number is: 3749046089=20
