I bought it locally from a canadian version of Home Depot (Reno Depot). It
cost me about 25.00$canadian. I actually have to go back and buy a few. I
can sell them to customers with a very small profit but it's an investment
as it can sell a lot of dampp chaser system. The memory function really
makes customers realize the humidity swings their piano goes through yearly
especially in our area.

  Marcel,

Hmmm, that holder sounds good, probably better than trusting velcro. I'll
have to look around for that type of model. Did you buy it locally, from a
piano supplier or somewhere else?

  Thanks,

    Hi Barb,

I've installed a hidden hygrometer in a CFIIIS in Sherbrooke. I bought a
model that came with a screw on type holder. I've installed it on the inside
of the rim and can have access if I wish. I got a model with min/max memory
so I can have a good idea of what the extremes were. It explained a lot of
pitch movement to me.

      Yo, Conrad,

Remember when we were talking hygrometers at the convention? If I
remember correctly, you said something about putting one in a piano and
leaving it there until the next time you tuned. What do you do to keep it
from making any noise, just glue on some felt? Do you think it's OK to do
this with a piano in an institution that's being rolled about?

PS My husband appreciated your keeping an eye on my spending there in
the exhibit hall. :-)
